About Awesome Foods!

At last, you can get all natural, raw, gluten free, right-carb meals & snack foods without any high sugar & high starch ingredients, artificial sweeteners, flavorings or sugar alcohols. Enjoy the delicious taste of real, natural, whole foods. Your body and soul will recognize the needed nutritional benefits of AWESOME FOODS!

CHIPS: Welcome to the first raw, vegetable chips made available commercially! We offer zucchini, nacho, carrot, beet and yam chips. Why pay more for these gourmet snacks? Well, 50% or more of most vegetables are water. For example, zucchini is 95% water. So, it takes one and a quarter pounds of zucchini to make one ounce of dehydrated zucchini chips! When you take out all the water, the flavor is concentrated, so you get an incredibly flavorful chip. That is why these chips taste so good and they are good for you. They are dehydrated at a low temperature (below 110F) that keeps all their nutrients intact. There are no added questionable flavor enhancers or sweeteners, since they taste so good just the way they are.

CRACKERS, STICKS & COOKIES: What is special about our crackers? We combine right carb vegetables with soaked nuts and golden flax seed meal to create well-balanced, great tasting crackers. We offer flax, vegetable almond, caraway, sesame, kale, butternut squash and root vegetable crackers. We also have sweet potato cookies and apple cinnamon cookies. The crackers are thick and hearty, which make them great for dipping, to put a spread on, or just by themselves as an awesome snack! They have a great ratio of protein, essential fatty acids, fiber and healthy carbs. We only use raw, organic agave nectar to sweeten our cookies. Agave is very low on the glycemic index, which means it does not cause a high insulin response.

DIPS: We make dips with soaked nuts, sprouted beans, peas & lentils. Usually chick peas are used to make humus. We use sprouted lentils instead, since they have about half the carbs of chick peas. We sprout the beans and soak the nuts to reduce the enzyme inhibitors and enhance the nutrients.

NORI ROLLS & BITES: Enjoy the great taste and health benefits of Nori seaweed along with tasty nutritious nuts and vegetables. The bites are great for traveling, since they are dehydrated and will last a long time unrefrigerated.

FALAFEL: A traditional middle eastern delight, only we use sprouted mung beans instead of chick peas in order to reduce the carbs.

SOUPS: We offer a variety of raw, organic soups during the year depending on the season such as gazpacho, creamy spinach, creamy cauliflower, carrot ginger, red pepper, corn chowder, creamy tomato, butternut squash and cucumber dill.

DRESSINGS: Our dressings are made with organic extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, hemp seed oil and flax seed oil to give you the essential fatty acids your body needs. We do not use any soy or canola oil, which are commonly used in most other dressings.

SALADS & WRAPS: We offer a variety of raw, organic salads & wraps.

FUDGES: We make our coconut fudges with shredded coconut that is dehydrated at 100F or less. Most shredded coconut is heated to 180F or more. We use raw, organic cacao nibs for our chocolate fudges. Cacao is well known for its incredible health giving properties.

Why you should consider eating more raw foods:
Cooking food at high temperatures destroys many of its vital nutrients. We make great tasting, organic, raw, whole foods. The snacks, crackers, chips, nuts and sticks are dehydrated at less then 115 degrees Fahrenheit slowly over at least 24 hours. This preserves the vital life force energy of the plants, including enzymes, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, proteins and carbohydrates. The nuts and seeds in our food are also germinated! It is believed that soaking and germinating raw seeds and nuts dramatically increases their protein, mineral, enzyme and vitamin content. More importantly, germination decreases the anti-nutritional factors, such as tannins, and increases the availability and digestibility of nutrients. We use organic ingredients as much as possible, which means they are free from pesticides, preservatives and artificial additives.

Why are complex carb foods good for you?
Foods that are made with refined flour and/or sugar are low in nutrients and can cause your body to overproduce insulin. Over time, eating too many foods like white bread, pasta, candy, chips, soda, etc. that are made with refined, simple carbohydrates can cause health problems like chronic fatigue. Complex carbohydrates like raw vegetables, soaked raw nuts & seeds, some fruits (those that are lower in sugar and/or higher in fiber like apples, pears, grapefruits, plums, berries and cherries), sprouted beans & soaked whole grains are healthy for you when they are eaten in the proper proportion with healthy fats and protein. Complex carbohydrates break down slowly and therefore do not cause an insulin surge. We make a variety of right-carb foods that can help you achieve the right balance for you. Everyone is an individual and different people may do better with different ratios of protein, carbs and fats. We make delicious, organic, raw, right-carb, gluten free, vegan snacks, chips, crackers, meals, dips, nori rolls, falafel, soups, dressings, salads and wraps!

Himalayan Salt: We use only Himalayan salt in our products, since it is free of pollutants often found in sea salt and table salt. Himalayan salt contains 84 minerals essential to life, since it was formed over 250 million years and remains in its original pristine state. It is mined by hand from a protected area of the Himalayan Mountains. This natural unprocessed salt contains a highly crystalline structure, which allows nutrients to be absorbed at the cellular level, purifying the body physically and bio-energetically.

Environmental: We sterilize our utensils in a high temperature commercial dishwasher instead of using bleach. We have a water filter on our produce sink to filter out chlorine, heavy metals & microorganisms. To keep the air pure, we have an electronic air filter, which is one of the most efficient types you can buy. We use only natural cleaning products in our facility. We sprout the beans and soak the nuts and seeds with filtered water. We compost the unusable produce. We use full spectrum energy efficient fluorescent lighting to provide a healthy environment for our employees and to save energy. We recycle our paper, cardboard, glass & plastic. We use stainless steel and polycarbonate dehydrators versus regular plastic.
